My maternal grnmdao
My maternal grnmdaother was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in the late 80s so reading about the disease itself was eye-opening. I was totally unaware of the statistics of mortality and morbidity, even by today's standards. I did a little research on esophageal cancer and learned that there are two main types- Squamos cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. I do not know which type was the one that affected my grnmdaother, but she beat it. Twice. She is alive and doing well in Idaho, 89, married for over 65 years to my grandfather . She is an amazing lady!
