Before taking meidac Before taking meidacl terminology class in January 2011 to May 2011I have never heard of shingles before. A very long time ago my sistergot chickenpox. I never got it. The pathogen for chickenpox is thevaricella zooster virus and the etiology for shingles is varicella,herpes zooster. The signs and symptoms of chickepox is stuffynose,sneezing, fever, cough, and rash. The signs and symptomsfor shingles is painful rash of small water blistes with red rimlesions follow a sensory nerve, confirmed to one side of body,severe itching with scarring. It is weird that shingles andchigkenpox are kind of related but the signs and symptomsare a little different.
