I was very interested in the lubmar puncture part of this Chapter. My husband has had several epidural injections, but I never knew much about them. He has had injections of corticosteroids into his extradural space in between his vertebrae.I learned about the supraspinous ligament and the interspinous ligament and the test given for meningitis. A needle is injected near the first lubmar vertebra and draws in CSF fluid (cerebral spinal fluid). This fluid is then analyzed to see if there is any infection or abnormalities.I really enjoyed this module. I learned a lot about TIA (transichemic attack) and other forms of brain diseases. A great deal of good information.
