Jack, I truly believe that there are as many ways to write a novel as there are nlosviets out there. And if finding the story is the hardest part for you, then I kind of hate you. Kidding! Kidding! I think actually we may not disagree so fundamentally, really for me, it's just that to find the true beating heart of my story, as you put it, I need to sit down with it every day and struggle with it, write my way into seeing what the story really needs to be. Because what I initially think is the heart often turns out to be not or at least not entirely so. Thanks for livening up the discussion with a different viewpoint!Like? 0
