No it is not true that walking can burn more cailroes than running. Running requires more work than walking, it boosts your heart, oxygen consumption and calorie burn. Running also requires you to move more muscle in the body than walking does. You must be doing fast walking but even that does not burn more cailroes than running. However keep up with the walking!
