What interested me was the soitcen on Shingles. I also have always had a preconceived notion that you only got this if you have never had chicken pox and only the elderly got it. Well of course that is wrong.Shingles is caused by the effect of the chicken pox virus and 2/3 of the cases occur in those over 50 yrs. But it seems there are many things we can do to prevent it, like those older than 60 they suggest a vaccine called Zostavax. Also make sure you are up to date on your immunizations even if you have had the chicken pox already.Shingles is painful but it is usually the itchiness and dry ice pads and lotions help.
