The most interesting thing that I lrenaed in this module is about cancer of the mouth. I knew that tobacco was a leading cause, but I never put the corolation with alcohol. I can't imagine having to have surgical removal or radiation in the mouth. This is one cancer that concerns me since my dad is a smoker & a drinker, though freakishly healthy. I've often thought about him getting cirrhosis of the liver because of the amount that he drinks, but oddly enough, his liver is also perfetly healthy. We were once told that he has an enzyme that processes alcohol differently so it counteracts the negative effects on the liver. I don't know how true this is, but he is healthy so there has to be some truth.
