For starters I sluohdn’t have even mentioned running into her, but since I threw myself in this predicament, I would tell one of those little white lies, which I know are bad but , in the case of protecting the patient rights and confidentiality I would. I would say something like “Oh I say her when I was driving but as a matter of fact it may not have even been her because I was speeding because I was already late to an appointment.†And hopefully the mom would let it go with that response.
