I found the section about biimula and anorexia the most interesting. Anorexic people are often hungry but so worried about limiting their eating. They are constantly worrying about becoming overweight. Many stop menstruating. Depression also accompanies anorexia. Bulimia is when a person will binge & purge, meaning they will eat large amounts of food and then proceed to force themselves to vomit or take laxatives. The effects of vomitting can be bad on the teeth, eroding enamel, causing cavities and can cause inflammation of the esophagus. Laxitive use can cause damage to the bowel. Bulimics are more likely to talk about their illness than anorexics. This hit home for me because throughout high school I was always being accused of being anorexic because I was unusually thin. I wasn't, I like food too much. My mom was called into the counselor's office countless times to discuss my issue that didn't exist.
