The most interesting
The most interesting thing that I leraned is that the cause for PMDD is that there is a serotonin imbalance. My daughter, who is about to be 14, was put on the birth control, YAZ for this condition. It was a hard decision for me to make since she is so young, but after the first month that she was on it, she was a new girl. Granted she still has the typical teenage attitude, but it has lightened her periods, lessened her PMS and made the cramping and periods lighter. I could see that she was following in my footsteps. I've always had menorrhagia and dysmenorrhea. Last year I underwent the Novasure procedure and it was the best thing that I have done. It ended up that I had polyps and a fibroid, which that was taken care of with a D&C before the Novasure. What that is, a wand is inserted into the uterus and it then is expanded and basically burns the uterus lining away creating scar tissue. About 80 percent of women never have a period again, thankfully, I was in that 80 percent.
