The section on bone
The section on bone cacner was interesting to me. I guess not very many people actually get this cacner. The text stated that it is rare and only 1 % of malignancies. It even stated that bone cacner was secondary from a tumor located elsewhere in the body. One type of bone cacner is osteogenic sarcoma. This type usually affects the ends of long bones, like at the knee. The cause is unknown. The other section I thought was interesting was another rare thin like tumors of the muscle. The text stated that they are rare, but when a person gets this it is usually highly malignant. One type of tumor of the muscle is rhabdomyosarcoma. This type has to be surgically removed. The prognosis is also poor. So they say that this type of tumor of the muscles is rare because muscle cells don't continually divide like blood or skin cells do.Although these sections were short in our chapter 15, I think they were the most interesting because no one has ever heard of it and it is very rare. I always like learning new things.
