Judith, thanks so much for ceniontmmg but I think we're talking a bit at cross purposes here. My key point was that Castle is talking about *a book he has not written yet*. He hasn't yet typed one word, just has the idea for the story. You say: Often the story doesn’t become clear until after the writer has written thousands of words. We don’t write what we know but what we want to find out. Idea does not equal story. I hope it's clear in my post that I couldn't agree more.Like? 0
