What I found interes
What I found interesting in this capethr was about rheumatoid arthritis, it is a chronic and debilitating autoimmune disease; is a systemic inflammatory disease that affects several joints and the surrounding muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Symptoms include joint pain and stiffness, particularly on walking. The joints are swollen, red and warm. The same joints are often affected on both sides of the body. The patient experiences weakness, fatigue and weight loss. It begins with inflammation of the synovial membrane that lines the joints, particularly the small joints of the hands and feet. Diagnosis is based on physical exam, x-rays, a rheumatoid factor test and synovial fluid analysis. What i also found interesting was muscular dystrophy which includes several forms of the disease, all of which are heriditary. The mot common and serious type is Duchenne, which is caused by a sex-linked gene and affects approximately 2 per 10,000 people. In Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a cytoskeletal protein called dystrophin is missing. As result of this defect, muscle fiber die and are replaced by fat and connective tissue. Because tissue doesn't have the ability to contract, skeletal muscles weaken. The diagnosis is based on electromyography, which shows weak muscle contractions. Biopsy of the muscle shows abnormal muscle fibers. No cure exists.
