This Chapter hit clo
This Chapter hit close to me. My other major is Psychology so this was more of a refresher than aynthing. The things I found interesting are Anorexia Nervosa, I knew a girl who had it and for me it was quite hard to believe that it was a real disorder but after watching her go through the pain and struggle I realized the situation is very much real but I still don't believe in the disorder it self. Quite hard to explain my reasoning for it but to me A LOT of disorders in the DSM-IV honestly do not need to be in there but that is all I will say about that. Another thing I found interesting in the Panic/Anxiety disorders, I suffered panic attacks when I was high school which included symptoms: Difficulty breathing, Nausea, Tingly/Numbness and Depersonalization. I was offered to take medications to calm them. I refused and struggled with it for 2 years then finally it stopped after practicing yoga and ways to relax and I have not had an attack in 3 years. One more thing I found interesting was I did not realize how closely related dementia and Alzheimer were. I knew they went hand in hand but did not realize most cases of patients with Alzheimer get dementia.
