I found the part abo
I found the part about Cerebrovascular accidents very inristteng and helpful. I didnt now that this is the third leading cause of death in the USA. But this like most diseases can be prevented with just a few changes in our everyday life. Example-no smoking, proper diet and exercise. If you have high blood pressure they even recommend that you take a baby aspirin. I am glad they have more information out about this on the televeision and on shows adn even in the newspaper. For women they may show different signs then men so its helpful to learn the signs. Tansient Ischemic Attacks usually precede a stroke. If you are seen by a doctor they may prescribe you blood thining medications, which will help prevent further damage caused by having a stroke. I always believe there are warnings before the actual big storm. We just have to heed the warnings and know and believe the signs. I am glad there is medicine out there now that can help stop the damage if taken in time. I have a family history of diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. So I am at a greater risk of having a CVA. This chapter made me thnk of how i can change my lifestyle for the better and it will improve my chances of not having a CVA.
