approximately two ou
approximately two out of three prostate canrecs are found in men over the age 65. It is most common among his race which is African American. I was reading in the book it says studies have shown men who eat a lot of red meat or high fat dairy products seem to have greater risk of getting prostate cancer. My father-in-law eats a lot of red meats. It makes me wonder. He had many of the signs and symptoms listed but most common one for his was frequent urination at night followed with lower pelvic pain. I have talked with my husband now about getting testing because he is a higher risk because of his race and his dad has it. My father-in-law has decided to undergo radiation. I also found the section on breast cancer to interesting to know. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, exceeding only by lung cancer. Working in the Oncology clinic I see patients with breast cancer on a daily basis. I belief it is beneficial and important to do breast exams. I recently underwent a scare while doing my monthly breast exam. I went to get a mammogram to be nothing to worry about, but you never know. I am a strong believer of monthly breast exams. I thought it was interesting where the book states, 5-10% of breast cancer cases are thought to be hereditary.
