What a load of hypocritical fucking bullshit, saying that they don't want Ford to choose sides, but implying that Ford should refrain from placing ads in media they don't aprove (Forcing Ford to choose) ?

Stuffy US Christian extremist bastards, teach tolerance damnit for once instead of seperating and judging everything that isn't "moral" in your own culture. Not to imply that all US christians think like that, but the extremes is the only thing that shouldn't be tolerated. Don't tolerate the untoleratable.

That's a tricky one. Christianity was the base religion (or one of the base religions) that America was founded on. Granted, we're a melting pot now, but we refuse to lose our "true" culture just because a bunch of foreigners decide they want to live here, too. As all of our media have tactfully said, "This is America. This is our culture. Don't like it, go home."
I know we're not talking about foreigners, but it makes the point. We are who we are, and we are the basis on which our country was founded. Many of us US christians have been able to adapt to an ever-changing culture (myself included), but some of us just refuse to give up "the ideals and principles of our very belief structure." These people are short-sighted and closed-minded, with that whole "my way or the highway" attitude, and they can go to Hell.
I believe religion was meant to change and adapt with the times. And they have (remember any blood sacrifices, no-eating-meat-on-a-Friday, or no-business-open-on-a-Sunday recently? Me either.). But some people wish to remain in stagnant, out-dated beliefs just because their religion tells them to (Oh, and they'll go to Hell if they compromise, since God is vengeful and not the least forgiving or understanding!).
Whatever.
