it was too new and he didn't quite trust it (or maybe he just didn't want to buy the machine lol). She ended up hanivg twins, but no one knew until she delivered the first one their heartbeats had been perfectly in sync in utero. After the first was delivered, the doctor was washing up, and the nurses had to bring him back into the delivery room for the second one! In retrospect, my mom said it was probably for the best that she didn't know earlier because she would have freaked out the whole pregnancy
