This has always been one of my faorvite passages. Th bible also defines fear and trembling' as to sweat We know when we work out or do something that causes us to sweat it is not easy to get through it we must preserver because it is hard. This scripture to me it correlates with Heb 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.a0We know who wins the war, but we are still in battle, and must fight (Ephesians 6:14). We will encounter a great deal that will aim to detour us, but we have great HOPE, It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? (Heb 12: 7) and you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, 22a0he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation7 under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister. (Col 1:22) .when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. But we know as it tells us in Mark 13:13, And you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. Now I would remind you, brothers,1 of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain- 1 Cor 15.a0a0HOPE is not hope without FAITH.a0Heb 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.a0Rom 8: 23-25 and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24a0For yin this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25a0But if we hope for what we do not see, we await for it with patience.a0Heb 11 characterizes and defines faith be it: who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34a0 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. 3 or Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. 36a0Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37a0 They were stoned, they were sawn in two,[a] they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated— 38a0of whom the world was not worthy— wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.a0So in all of this we face .fight . and battle .a0 we work out our salvation with fear and trembling sweat), looking to those who have gone before us (the great cloud of witnesses)that have fought this race and endured. Because Christ is at work in us' and he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Christ Jesus (Phil 1:6).
