I understand Cutie P
I understand Cutie Pie and have slmiiar concerns. I wouldn't want Emma to be type-cast into slutty girl roles. I'd like to see Emma in a variety of film because I really believe she has talent. I will watch the Bling Ring as a support to Emma, but I'm not thrilled about it. I am also looking forward to YVimH. That is a complex role with a lot of subconscious meaning. Emma Forrest brings it out so well on the page, I'd like to see Emma grasp her meaning in her character. The slutty girl roles are cheap, and anyone can play them. Some might see the female character in YVimH as a slutty role, but it is not. It is the tale of a young woman who has a painful understanding of love partly due to her rape and first sexual experience at 16 years. A very complex role. Anyone can pole-dance in a bar. I think TV and film show enough of this trash. Don't think me old-fashioned! I am not! A feminist at heart. Women have done to themselves what society has dictated to them in the past. This could be a long essay, but an interesting topic. Anyone want to pursue it?
