Most Windows based laptops ship with a dealfut administrator account, which is called administrator and has no password. As soon as another user is created by the new owner, this account is hidden from the login screen user icons. If you are prompted to click on a user icon when you get to the login screen, ctrl-alt-del twice, and you will get a login prompt.Type in administrator and hit the enter key.If this won't work, you will have to resort to downloading a password recovery/reset disk image on another computer, and creating a boot CD from it.
