Many of the beauty gurus are youbute partners. This means they get paid by youbute and many other different companies, I'm not sure how that works exactly. But somehow they are pretty much required to do reviews for companies who send products. (More advertising=more customers=more money) However, I do believe that if you become a popular beauty guru and get a lot of subscribers, a makeup company can take it upon themselves to send you products asking you to do reviews and if you do you'll get paid. That would be nice and also super fun so I wish you lots of luck!
