The hardest part is to keep right on siinttg down at the keyboard, even when you are at, say, 60,000 words, and the idea is no longer bright and shiny in the slightest. In fact, you suspect that 59,999 of those words are complete and utter garbage. Ummm there! Right now!!! But continuing to plug. Actually, I'm looking at what seems like about 75,000 words of utter garbage, but I've been here a dozen times before, and I know that as my granny used to say, This, too, shall pass.
