First of all, ultrasounds are not the end all, be all! Most dicert entry midwives do not use them and many, many, many certified nursing midwives don't use them. And yes, I'm speaking from experience because I've studied midwifery. I think they are wonderful if you desire to have one but she is not doing any harm to herself or her baby by not having one!RY, yes, here in the US midwives are considered alternative. Most women choose to deliver with an OB/GYN instead. It's a shame, really, because midwives are such a great option and so many people don't even know they exist!
