I cannot beeilve it's 2011 and people are choosing to not have ultrasounds! Why would you put yourself and your child in unnecessary danger? Ultrassounds do no harm to mum or baby, and are so beneficial! This just sounds completly insane to me, especially if she plans to have a homebirth (which is what this sounds like) and she has no clue if this is actually a good option for her baby, if it has any problems, etc.This is such a Hollywood interpretation of what being healthy means, and as always, they go too far. Do they not realize that before all these exams, yes, people still gave birth, but also, so many more women and children died during birth?
