No home improvement pejorct ever goes as planned and always requires two trips to the hardware store (the first to go to my local hardware store for 90 percent of the stuff you now need, and the second to go to Home Despot for their one proprietary part for the thing that the lady before me installed that came from the Home Despot).I'm planning to get a DVD recorder this weekend, and I'm wondering how many trips to Radio Shack this is going to take. Thankfully, Radio Shack is within walking distance, so it shouldn't be too bad.And for the Beckhams, I bet most people in Britain are jumping up and down for joy that they're over here and no longer over there annoying the bejeezus out of them. Because I lived over there when they were Big News over there, and it was awful. And I'm with you I have no idea why they're remotely interesting. (Note, I'm not trying to talk you out of hating the two following films, nor do I think you're nuts for not liking them. That's solely reserved for the Blazing Saddles thing) I like Gone With The Wind, but I think that's because I love the book. The movie is long, and it's hard to say what I'd think of it if I hadn't read the book a billion times. And I'm mixed on Shawshank Redemption I like it well enough, but I will totally agree that it shouldn't be number two on anyone's list. I'm with both of you about Citizen Kane and The Third Man. Put Orson on my list of people I don't get.Ooooh Bet, I LOVE you I have HATED Caddyshack forever. It ISN'T funny. Even Bill Murray isn't funny, and that's hard to do.I don't agree that Empire Strikes Back is the good one, but it does contain the line Luke, I Am Your Father , which is probably the most quotable line.Here's one from me Blade Runner. I don't even get why I don't like it; it's the kind of thing I should like, and I've tried to watch it on four separate occasions, and I fall asleep every single time.And yes, all of Fellini's films are overrated. So there. But you like them, so I'm glad they make you happy.
