That's right :-D... U2 tickets in the bag *nods*...
Quite the day gettin' 'em though hehe...
I'll give you a rundown...
06:45 - wake up
06:50 - Realise me trail leaves in 5 minutes, and i'm still in bed
07:30 - Catch the next train
07:33 - realise i've lost my iPod headphones running for the train
08:30 - Get to work (half an hour late)
10:00 - Remember U2 tickets go on sale today! ack!
10:10 - Find the ticket site is flooded
10:15 - Find the ticket phone lines are flooded
10:20 - Get through on the phone lines, and find the tickets not on sale till 12:00
10:30 - Call Rebel Sport (outlet for Ticketmaster) and find people have been lining up since about 07:00
10:45 - Decide i'll most likely never get through on the phone/internet, and i'll go into the city and line up on my lunch-break
11:40 - Go on my 1hour lunch break
11:45 - Start queuing up for U2 tickets
12:40 - Moved about 1/5th of the way down the line
12:45 - Call work, and say i might be a little bit late back from lunch
13:15 - Find that when i get to the end of the line, i can only reserve tickets (until 5pm), and that i have to wait another 2hours to actually pay for them (or come back before 5)
13:40 - Reserve FOUR GA U2 tickets!!
14:00 - Get back to work, from my 1hour lunch break
16:30 - Sneak out of work half an hour early to go back and pay for the tickets
16:38 - Take life into own hands, and nearly get hit by a bus!
16:43 - Listen to list of names being called out
16:45 - Hears name, says "YEP!"
16:50 - BUY U2 TICKETS!!
And there ya have it... i had to take my life, my job and my sanity into my own hands, but i got them! and most of the time i was in the line (in between chit-chatting with a few peeps in front and behind me) was trying on the phone lines without any luck, and had my sister at home trying on the phone. But in the end they are now mine! muwahahaha!
Anyone else seen/seeing U2 on the Vertigo tour? should be great :-D... can't wait!
