I had heard it was a good film, but expected it to be fairly typical gangster fare - violent, melodramatic and taking itself very seriously.
I had no idea it would be absolutely hilarious.
I would very highly recommend it. Two hitmen are sent to Bruges (it's in Belgium) to lie low whilst their boss decides what to do with the younger of them, who accidentally killed a child. Mayhem ensues. (It's definitely on the darker end of the black comedy spectrum. And very, very funny.)
It also inspired several people I know to take holidays to Bruges. It's a good advert for the city, holidaying hitmen aside. Though I have to say, I personally liked nearby Ghent more than Bruges.
