There are few things that could make this week more incredible than it is already. In this week alone I've been given a raise by my boss, co-signed on my first brand, new car, and I've been asked to join the ensemble for a professional-level musical theater performance. This is a great week!!
The car's a 2013 Toyota Corolla, and we love her. We've named her Nightshade and are more than grateful for the 10 year loan my father has extended us while he pays off the 5-year, no interest loan on the vehicle. Of course, there's space open for us to pay more per month and get the loan taken care of early. I've never had a car with 2 miles on it before. 2! We put about 130 on it since yesterday, which is indicative of our driving just due to where we live and where we work, and we've used about a quarter of a tank of gas. Amazingly blessed.
The raise was 10%, which means I got a 10% raise September 2011 and January 2013. That's huge for our family. We have been barely making it for so long, and that's just such an incredibly blessing to help. Two weeks ago we were down to our last $8 in checking (we have savings. I don't like to touch it). This is huge for us.
And the show is a blessing, too. Mum and Dad don't like me to do ensemble roles, but I haven't been on a stage since October 2011, and I miss it. Granted, that was also the last time I auditioned. I don't have a lot of time for that, and our one-car lifestyle made it impossible until the last three months while my husband has gotten normal hours (though I don't perform in 4th quarter due to my work stress).
This is so much amazing in one week!! Just thought I'd share. It's nice to be in a good place after being so low for so long!
