Today I saw that this cover posted on Zenescope' solicitations for January 2013 on Comics Continuum --> http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/1210/22/zenescopejan.htm as well as unleashthefanboy.com, so I'm guessing it's ok to post it here now as well... This is cover 4a, and there's a 4b there as well which wasn't done by me.

This'll be my first published cover for a reasonably large company! So far they've all been for publishers you've probably never heard of...
Didn't get much guidance as to what they wanted apart from "make it night time maybe and the girl is blonde" which was a both a blessing and a curse. So I went with the cold blues for the grave and the sunrise/sunset in the sky to sort of indicate that out of the grave is life and down in the hole it's death. The girl is both warm and cool coloured as a transition between the two. Ok, maybe I over-thought the whole thing but that was the idea at any rate...
I colour stuff...
