I mean, technically you can. Strictly speaking I don't have 2 days, I have 1.5 days from this contract and .5 held over from my summer contract. So obviously they exist. But you don't make friends taking them, and realistically I can't. There's only one shift where you can leave early, and that's the early shift (ie leave at 1 instead of 4:30) - the others the whole point of the shift is to be there at the end of the day. That's the thing with news - you have to put out a product at the end of every day (and another in the middle of the day for that matter ;0)
Plus when I only have 9 days left, taking them as half days would mean I'm never there. And I couldn't really make use of the time at home anyway, I'm always too tired to do anything if I've worked.
