Born 7.45am this morning on February 28th 2012!!!
3.8kg, 54cm long, Mother and baby all doing well :+)
They induced Natasha at 5pm last night (the drug makes the 'loosening up' contractions REALLY painful so girls, if you can avoid being induced artificially, Natasha's advice is to do so...) and they expected things to take until about mid-day today.
But Natka went into full on labour at about 2.00am local time. We'd already gone home (been kicked out by the night nurse actually... though Jason was allowed to stay all night) and we re in bed. Raisa must have sensed something because she woke up at 2.00am all stressed out, though she was able to go to sleep again)
Then at 6.30am we get a phonecall from Jason telling us to get here as quickly as possible as it was all going to happen NOW! We bailed out of the house in 15 mins flat - showered (and shaved in my case), dressed, cat fed, and chowing down on some 2 muesli bars each which we called breakfast and then did the typically 40min drive to the hospital in less than 25 minutes, just in time for Natasha to deliver successfully about 20mins or so later. :+)
(Mind you we didn't have it that bad - the parents of the girl in the room next to Natasha had flown in from Kuala Lumpur overnight, had caught a taxi directly to the hospital at 6.00am just in time to have their grand daughter born 5 minutes after they got there!!!!)
I have pictures of course, but they'll have to wait until Natasha says I can post them. I colour stuff...
