It's been awhile, but I guess I should post once in a while.
Sent a message to Johan, and he didn't even know who I was. (To be fair, it was my regular email addy, so I can't really blame him.)
So to catch you up, here goes.
I retired at the beginning of September after 35 years. I'll leave it to Johan to write all the software from here on out. I've done my bit, and the stuff I wrote back in the 80's is still being used (at least right up until I walked out the door).
Let's see if what's being written today will have that kind of life in it... It won't.
And it isn't that I'm some old geezer either (though I am). I retired EARLY.
But it's not all that, like you would think. I'm still bleeding off the stress of what IT work has become.
Keeping a low profile at the moment, as I'm only getting a partial pension at the moment because they're all backed up on processing them. But I saved my pennies over the years and am not hurting.
I've been basically just catching up on house maintenance and improvements, and watching the world financial situation go down the tubes.
It's a wonder I even remembered my password here, but I did.
I am happy to see that there is still a bunch of you left.
'K, back to "work" here....painting walls.
My mind is like lightning, one brilliant flash and then it's gone.
