About 8 years ago, when I knew pretty much bugger-all about colouring comics, I coloured a low res version of this picture. I didn't know how to make the lineart a channel, didn't know what a colour hold was, barely was able to use the gradient and smudge tool in photoshop and certainly didn't have a clue what lighting was all about...(some might say nothing much has changed :P ..)
Yet I was able to get that version published in a book (with official permission from Matt Hawkins at topcow comics of course) Here it is!! --> [url]http://www.seanellery.com/book/aphrodite_book.jpg[/url]
Anyway, about a year ago or so I got hold of the high res B&W file for the same picture so this week I decided to do it again, just for the heck of it. It's the first time I've ever recoloured a picture that I've done previously as well!
