What're your favourite Christmas songs?
What're your favourite Christmas carols?
Which Christmas song can you just not stand?
How about a guilty pleasure Christmas song you love but know you shouldn't?
Remember all those great Christmas songs you sung at school? (Atchoo! Atchoo! Atchoo!)
People who provide Youtube links (to good versions) are my friends!
Honestly, you can define Christmas song however you want. Personally it annoys me when songs like Power of Love get called Christmas songs, just because they were number 1 at Christmas. But then I somewhat hypocritically include Stop the Cavalry - which was never intended to be a Christmas song at all, but is thought of one due to just one line.
Suggestions to kick it off: I Believe in Father Christmas, my absolute favourite Christmas song. At all. Ever. In Dulci Jubilo. The Little Drummer Boy. Coventry Carol. Sussex Carol. O Come All Ye Faithful (not so much to listen, but I always loved singing it). And although I don't otherwise like Christina Rossetti, my favourite carol: In the Bleak Midwinter.
(I have shamelessly stolen this from my LJ, but I think the overlap in readership is small enough that nobody will be too annoyed ;0)
