Noise doesn't penetrate upwards much.
Yeah I was lucky overall @ my first school and only lived abouve an RA (has authority to write-up tenants, but a student version). She tried writing us up when we were walking around in socks. Fortunatly My roommate's boyfriend was also an RA for a different housing location on campus, but he was more senior and babysat her boss's newborn. So when she complained a few times he opened the door and would point out the socks and how careful we actually were.
At my current school my Luck ran out. A Sampling includes:
-My first roommate was loud at night with her boyfriend(no toys required). It was so loud, repatative, and memorable enough that when I pointed out which apt I lived in to my neihbors at a cookout (and said I was single) they told me they were sorry.
-Later the guys abouve were playing basketball in the livingroom durring the last few weeks of the semester. I'm a very easygoing person but they and got to endure my anger, when I noted to them the light fixures were shaking from their game, I had a test the next morning, and I would be more picky in the spring if they continued.
