I've never got it m'self. I don't drink at all, but I have a lot of friends who do, so we often find ourselves at a bar chatting, and I like that. I like before they're so stinking drunk they forget my name. First two or three hours are usually awesome if it's a reasonable person. :P
But bar hopping? You have to have a certain personality for that... and be able to hold your booze.
