The reason I quit was because I didn't get the results I wanted and fought to get back in first year, but they wouldn't let me. They thought the meager grasp of the basics I had would do, but I didn't feel confident enough to try. Although I was studying physics, biology, etology, ecology and stuff.... and they switched around my driving results! I did all the practical exercises but no theory, still for some reason the teacher couldn't keep it straight and graded me for exams I didn't take, then added a note that he didn't see me on the training course. Urgh.
