And my heart is already pounding. I can't wait!! Things with rehearsal are going well, but my solo in the last number got cut because he finally realized having a hooker sing about designing a building does not quite jive.... Ah well. At least I still get to open "If I Could Have Been." Happy about that. A Capella no less!
I've been working out at the gym a whole lot. While I'm not at washboard stomach level, yet, I'm seeing a NOTICEABLE difference. I mean, the guy cast me not knowing how fat or skinny I might be under well-chosen attire. So, I gotta make sure when they put me in my costume that I look like a bonafide street walker and not some schlep in drag.
In the midst of all this? MOVE. We've got MOST our stuff at the new place, which feels AWESOME. What'll be even better is when I have time to sit there and go over and through everything and get pictures hung on walls and all that great stuff. There's lots to do and say and put together to make this place really sparkle, so it feels great just to know we're moving forward. We're getting an amazing return from the US Government on our taxes (which we turned in two weeks ago) so that'll give us our first real vaca in AGES. Thinking about doing a week in NY. Matt's never been, and I'd love to see a Broadway Show, too! :) Also using the government money to pay Daddy back for helping us get our house, and then the rest goes to be tucked away in case of emergency. I'm a FAIRLY prudent gal.
We have a lot of dancing in our show, and a lot of singing, and a lot of props and actors and everything else. It's just a mad house really! It's strange to be involved in community theater because a lot of it is just so darn unprofessional. Don't say I'm all Hollywood!!! LOL! I just grew up with really professional actors as parents and so I think of things differently. My mind works different...
I have rehearsal most nights of the week and then I have tap class on Wednesdays. I only have two more tap classes before I miss two whole weeks for Tech. Then my life REALLY gets manic... at least I have my 25th birthday off! :)
