I don't care about Trek in the way I used to when I was very young and single. Now I just accept it as Sci-Fi and if it's good I might buy the DVD, otherwise I just watch Sci-Fi and enjoy it as something that interests me. I don't care if it follows already established canon or creates new stuff. It is just fiction and I'm just looking to be entertained.
