We've been shopping for a new car to replace our 2000 Toyota Camry, which was getting kinda crappy around the edges lately. The CV joint bearing was now making vibrations as well so we decided to look for something new.
Car of choice was a Mazda 6, and after letting my fingers do the surfing via http://www.carsales.com.au I short listed 5 or 6 and headed off to see 'em. I only got to the second car when I found the one we wanted.
A Nov. 2006 build (sold in March 2007) Mazda 6 Classic Sedan, ex-demo, one owner, with ALL the optional extras, only 13 477km (!!!!!!) on it, balance of new car warrenty until March 2010 PLUS the 3 year used car warrenty (which don't run concurrently so that equals 5 years all up) and with the 'radiant ebony' deluxe paint to boot!!! - all for $26 990!!!!
The dealer only wanted to give me $4000 for my Camry as a trade-in which was a 2/3 loss after 2.5 years (that's a lot!) and which I was 'unhappy' with to say the least. After some pushing we got that value up to just under $6000 as we were paying the rest outright in cash without financing.
It drives like a dream and there's nothing wrong with it at all. It's had an RAC mechanical check, plus I even phoned the previous owner when I was on a test drive and quizzed him about the car and why he sold it so soon. He said his wife drove it 5km to work and back each day and didn't like the size of it, so they traded it for a Mazda MX5, but otherwise it was fault free. Since he had no reason to lie to me now that he didn't own the car anymore, I took him at his word, besides I have that 5 year warrenty...!
The car looks like this -->

Woohoo!!!! I'll maybe post some pics of it once the camera battery charges up.
*burns rubber as he drives off into the sunset*
I colour stuff...
