I

McCain was a known evil: we knew exactly where he was going with his presidency. It may have been bad, but at least we could prepare.
Obama is a wild card: he could sink this country lower, raise it up to new heights, or just coast along on his popularity. It all depends on what he does with his potential. I hope he lives up to it and makes this country better.
I'm sick of just about all politicians. I'm sick of the two-party system. I'm sick of an Electoral College who doesn't represent the American vote at all. (Seriously, how does Obama get 52% of the popular vote, but over 70% of the Electoral vote? All the campaigning is sided towards the 11 biggest states who make up 270 Electoral votes, and usually the "Big 5" determine the election: California, Texas, New York, Florida, Ohio. I mean, seriously. What about the other 39 or 45 states?)
Plus, my vote in Maryland doesn't matter at all. Maryland votes Democratic to a fault. For every Republican, Independent, Green, etc. combined, there's at least 10 Democrats in this state. Therefore, it doesn't matter whether I voted for Obama, McCain, Hitler, or Mickey Mouse. Obama got Maryland. The Democrats ALWAYS get Maryland, except once. That once was Nixon/Agnew, and only because Agnew was from Maryland. Every single other time, the Democrats get Maryland.
"Stupidity is no excuse!"
