CURRENT MESSAGE

Well I guess this Nigel just didn't like their sound once it was too unique...

I think Sams Town is a much better album that Hot Fuss, they find their own unique sound much better.

I know bands have to evolve and mature their sound...and there's been a few bands that have changed, that i've enjoyed their new stuff and original stuff (Linkin Park for instance, their latest album had quite a different style to their previous stuff, and a lot of fans didn't like it (at least not right away), but I really loved it as soon as i heard it...and theres an Aussie band called Eskimo Joe, which IMAO is probably the best band Australia has ever produced, and they've come along way, and changed quite a bit from their beginnings, and its been better and better each step)...I guess i just liked the place The Killers started, rather then the place they ended up in (but thats not to say if they bring out another album, I my just love them again)...

Speaking of bands changing, I'm not sure if anyones heard Coldplays latest album, I was psyched when i heard it was coming out, i've been quite a fan of their stuff, and thought they too had grown better and better with each album...but Viva La Vida I'm not loving...i quite like the title tack and maybe a couple of others (Violet Hill i really like, and 42 i quite like)...but i don't know...maybe i just need to listen to it a few more times...

I lurve the Scissor Sisters. Don't have a clue what single you refer to, but I at least like all of their tracks I know. I do prefer their second album to their first, but there are great tracks on the first - Return to Oz is wonderful, Mary is touching and Laura is one of those songs which gets me dancing right down to the bone.

I don't really recall what the single was called (nor do i want to recall how it went, as i'm sure it would get stuck in my heard), and since i've banished them from my collection, I can't (or won't) find out, mainly for the reason previously stated...

Speaking of dance music, theres a band grown to some fame here that is quite good called The Presets... great dance-rock sort of a sound, really enjoying them right now...so much so, i was out with a few friends recently, and it was quite late into the night, i was 4 Long Island Ice Teas in (but thats a whooole other story), and a dominant Presets track came on while i was wondering aimlessly unattended near the dance floor of the place i was, and even though i knew it wasn't the best thing to do, i just couldn't help but start to jump and dance around...i managed to pull through the terrible things my stomach was trying to telling me...but only just...

Who's going to clear away the bodies...that's what I want to know.
