You don't have to pay for it... These are legitimate mp3s I own, and I could scan the album artwork if I really wanted. iTunes doesn't make you pay for album artwork, but what it does is require you to have an iTunes Store account, and you have to provide credit card details for that. I am not giving them my credit card details when I have no plans to ever buy anything from the store, and the songs aren't from there, either.
