It actually turned out rather neat, once I had the hang of it. The parts I did first weren't so neat, but luckily, there will be furniture over those which will make it impossible to see (that's why I started in that corner in the first place).
Now onto the drilling! I'm sooo excited I'm discovering there's so much more I can do all myself without help from guys!!! :D
As for the ceiling, that wasn't so bad. Old paint came off partially and this made it very difficult to make a smooth ceiling. At any rate, not-so-smooth is fine too, for the year we'll be livin there.
It's purple BTW!!! The kitchen. And my room is purple with pink and silver and glitter. The other one just yellow and white.
