So they are doing construction on one of the roads I drive on to get to work. Drove through yesterday--got a flat. Hooray! I go to work with the spare on, then afterwards go to a tire service station, where I wait for f*cking 2 and a half hours for them to look at my tire and tell me that I can't get a patch job (my rim ground up some of the insides), but need a replacement. And oh by the way, they have no compatible tires to replace the old one with, so I'll have to come back tomorrow.
Fine. Whatever.
So I go back today, tell them I'll put the tire on myself, and wait for half an hour for them to bring it out. Then I wait another 20 minutes for them to get to me. But I finally got the tire and got the hell out of there! Lifting my car up with the cheap jack that came with the car, I removed the spare and, without putting the new tire on first, I decide to put the spare back in the trunk, which caused me to push forward on the car, which in turn tilted the jack forward, causing it to go on its side and my car to go on top of it, thereby preventing me from putting the new tire on, as the axle is now completely on the ground. (Happy EofS? I got some karmic retribution.)
But the servicemen got their jack out, I put the tire on, then left before anything else could happen.
I'm not usually this unintentionally stupid; must be having an off-day.
