Oh, little rider
With a hood of bright red,
I offer some cider
In hopes to break bread.
I offer no quarrel;
My desires are meager,
I form unions like Tarle
Of which I'm quite eager.
I stroll through this wood
To be so inspired.
I wish that I would;
I've only perspired!
Then upon me comes you
With a light in your step--
Your beauty so true
It's given me pep!
Come, little girl,
You've given me cause!
I give you this pearl
And plus my applause!
Now I ask you this favor
(And please be quite hearty)
Will you join me and savor
A quaint midnight party?
