I guess what amazed me was the amount of time they spend on it. Some people play a simple flight sim sometimes, others do that a lot....and then there are those who build those simulator environments to get the most out of their experience. It's interesting to see how far some people go to achieve something. The tools that they use or make. How to solve certain problems they come across along the way. How to keep their partners happy by *not* buying that fighter jet they found on eBay....
Perhaps with being silly, I'm just stating how it looks from my point of view, having no intentions now or in the (near) future to even build something as big and time consuming as all that. Maybe it's the same when others, who do (almost) nothing that's music making related, look upon me and on how much time I put in that.
It wasn't meant to insult them. If my comment appeared like that, I'm sorry, that was not my intention. It just shows that people can have many different hobbies, many of which I haven't even heard of yet.
