So... this great day follows up from a great start to the week, where all of monday i spend pretty much the entire day at work not actually doing any of the real work i'm there for, and just dealing with issues and crap (i.e. pretty much not actually gettin' anything done).
But THIS day took the cake...
Now before i start this story you should know that normally i get to work around 7.30-8... my boss/supervisor normally gets into work around 8.45... so heres how the day starts...
*Wakes up because of phone ringing, looks at number, see its boss. Doesn't answer the call, but finishes waking up to sees its 10 in the morning... Gets out of bed in a panic, and hits the voicemail number on his phone, and listens to message from the boss wondering if i'm at the suburb office and coming over to the city office for the weekly meeting (suddenly realises the weekly meeting is on at 10). Calls boss back, and uses the excuse of moving house (which i shall be doing next weekend) for running late. Gets ready, irons puts on pants that he likes, irons puts on shirt that he likes, looks at pants and shirt on together, and notices they look like crap with each other, knows its too late to change, leaves anyway. Gets into car, and notes the the fuel gage is very close to the little "E", thinks to himself "thank goodness i have enough fuel to get me to work", is hardly amused by his humourous little comment and gets going. Is comforted by the knowledge that being 10.15 in the morning, there would be no traffic on the freeway. After filling up with fuel, gets onto the freeway happily doing 100kph, hits road works, and slows to 40kph....*
I then also on the way to work realised that i had a HSES meeting at 1pm, and that i need to call someone that i had arranged to have lunch with at 12:30 (which i had already rescheduled from the night before, which i had doublebooked).
In the end got to work at around 11am...
