Re: What a gyp! previously posted: All ribbons used to have a "medal" equivalent, they changed that too? Yep. I have the Meritorious Unit Commendation ribbon, the Sea Service ribbon, and the sharpshooter Pistol ribbon. Now the pistol (and rifle) ribbons DO have medal equivalents, but only for expert. Oh, and don't feel too badly about the change; it's still FOUR years to get the sleeve stripe.
